Connect an AI assistant

Let Claude, Cursor or another assistant read and look after your mail through Clova.Email's MCP server — with only the permissions you give it, and never your billing.

https://clova.email/mcp

1. Make a personal access token

On your profile, under Developer, choose Create Personal Access Token. Name it after the assistant, and give it only what the job needs. It is shown once, with these settings filled in for you.

2. Add it to your assistant

Run this in a terminal. Put your token where it says YOUR_TOKEN.

claude mcp add --transport http clova https://clova.email/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"

What a token can do

Inbox
Read lists your inboxes. Read & write also makes, changes and deletes them — a temporary address to sign up somewhere with, say.
Message
Read lists, searches and reads your mail, and waits for a message to arrive. Read & write also marks mail read, pins and deletes conversations, blocks senders, and writes drafts.
Send mail
Sends drafts. A permission of its own, so a token can write a draft for you to send yourself — and assistants ask before using it.
Profile
Your name, birthday and phone. Never your billing or your plan.

Keep in mind

Mail is written by whoever sent it, and an assistant reading it reads everything it says — instructions meant for the assistant included. Give a token no more than the job needs, keep Send mail for an assistant you are watching, and revoke a token you no longer use. You can see and revoke every token on your profile, at any time.
